I have been in the computer industry since 1965. In my early years, I was a Computer Programmer. I have been a UNIX SysAdmin, and led teams that developed IT infrastructure and systems in Africa (1980s), and Asia (1990s).
I have been a Mac User since 1985, an Apple user since 1981. I am retired and consult to a few companies and individuals. I am also a NASA "Solar System Ambassador": http://www2.jpl.nasa.gov/ambassador/
I provide outreach into school systems - preferably in tough areas of my city, which tend to have depressed kids and have been overlooked by leading teachers. I produce a Newsletter on Earth and Space Science, and am developing a web site for all. My web site is under construction, but you can see where it's heading in the link.
See above for my work. I love Rapid Weaver for web development, and try to avoid expensive bloated software. I have a Mac Pro, an MBP, a G5, several minis, etc.

What i love of Apple. Why i use it
Each program is it's own entity. There is no reliance on a central program registry that - when corrupted - causes havoc. I no longer need to use Windows with one exception - updating my telescope firmware. But I can achieve this using Fusions, and hopefully in the future, Crossover/Wine.
What i don't like of Apple
Some of their computers are hard to pull apart and replace hard drives, especially the minis, but I do it anyway.
